1. LIABILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE
All claims must be submitted within 7 days of receipt of goods or within 14 days of despatch date in case of a non-delivery. Carriers liability as per the carriage of goods act is the maximum value that will be recognized on each package. For acceptance goods need to be adequately packaged for road transportation or no claim will be accepted.
2. DECLARATION OF CUBIC MEASUREMENT
This is required on all consignments and if not will be estimated by staff of LK Transport. The carrier reserves the right to review the declaration and change if necessary and charge if applicable.
3. FREIGHT FORWARD TERMS
Freight charges may be made payable by the consignee on the understanding that should they fail to pay the consignor will make prompt payment in full.
4. INSURANCE (OVER AND ABOVE CARRIERS RISK)
Insurance shall not be arranging by the carrier except with the express written instructions of the consignor and only at the consignor’s expense and on lodgement of a declaration as to the value of the collection prior to collection
5. DELIVERY
Should the consignee of the goods described hereon not be in attendance at the address given during normal business hours when delivery is attempted an additional charge may be made at ruling rates for each call until the delivery is accomplished.
6. CONCEALED DAMAGE
No claims will be accepted where damage has not been apparent at the time of delivery and the note not endorsed.
7. GLASS
Glass, Pottery, is carried at Owners Risk and no claim will be accepted in the case of breakages.
8. RESPONSIBILITY
There will be no responsibility for damage to private property, footpaths, drains, driveways etc where a driver is required to enter any private property. This includes when a driver is requested to unload trucks on a consignee or consignor’s property.
